ONE GUARANTEE OF GOD’S GOODNESS TO COUNT ON

ONE GUARANTEE OF GOD’S GOODNESS TO COUNT ON

God’s word is full of His promises. He filled the pages of the bible from start to finish with assurance after assurance of His love and commitment to us.

Every story and letter reveal His heart and character. Every documented encounter unveils His great and glorious ways.

The trouble is, it’s difficult for us to experience first hand what we don’t know. What a loving and thoughtful Father God is to take time to show us Himself through His word.

He desires for each of us to know Him fully and experience all that He claims. Anything He says of His character and ways has a direct blessing connected and attached for us to embrace.

I truly believe…

  • The more we know about God and His attributes, the more we will open our hearts to His Spirit.
  • The more open our hearts are, the more intimacy and depth of relationship we will walk in with God.
  • The more intimacy we envelope ourselves in with God, the more easily we will extend our trust to God.
  • The more we trust God, the more we can believe what He says about Himself.

It’s a beautiful cycle of growth in relationship with God.

I want to invite you to jump into the cycle with me. Whether you’ve been in ankle deep or fully immersed, we all can benefit from thinking meaningfully on God’s character. I want to share some tips I use to help me on the journey of growth.

Today I am meditating on this truth of God’s character…God is never-failing. What might life look like if we lived like we believed this with our whole heart? What pit falls might we avoid?

FOR WHEN YOU FEEL LOST AND LACKING PURPOSE

FOR WHEN YOU FEEL LOST AND LACKING PURPOSE

Our calling is a well covered sermon topic among preachers and teachers in the faith. As God’s kids we want to know our purpose and why we are here. Most, if not all of us have wondered who we are and what the point of life really is. We hear people talking about and searching for their purpose all the time.

As Christians we find the answer in Jesus, but we still may find ourselves perplexed about what God is inviting us into. We may understand that God called our name, but not know what He calls us to.

In this video:

  • Receive encouragement and instruction from Isaiah 43:1
  • Learn what God calls us into as His followers
  • Find out why God calls us
  • Gain comfort and direction regarding who you are in Christ

5 CONFIDENCE BOOSTERS FOR THE NOT SO CONFIDENT

5 CONFIDENCE BOOSTERS FOR THE NOT SO CONFIDENT

Jesus strongly encouraged us to share the kingdom of God and His amazing love with everyone who would listen. He never promised fulfilling His commission would be easy. Sometimes hearing God clearly for my own life is challenging enough, let alone attempting to hear Him for others.

Every so often, when I step out I am wrong. I discover what I thought God was saying or doing, He was not. I feel foolish. If the risk involves sharing a misguided notion with someone I don’t know well or even at all, the situation becomes awkward, quickly. I don’t always know how to recover from the embarrassment and ease out of the conversation gracefully without adding to the discomfort.

After a few blunders recently, my confidence risked waning, but God used these fails to teach me some things about Him and how His kingdom operates. From the files of my misadventures, here are 5 lessons I learned as a fledgling revivalist on mission.

THRILLED GOD TRUSTED ME TO BE SO WRONG

THRILLED GOD TRUSTED ME TO BE SO WRONG

Every time I sit down to write out a testimony I want to share amazing stories of God’s miracles and wonders impacting the lives of the people I come in contact with. Every time.  It’s what I hope for and desire. But today I cannot. Truth compels me to be real, open, and honest.

To save face, I could refrain from sharing the testimonies of failed attempts at hearing God. I could keep the times I risked and God seemingly was a no show to myself. I could omit the oopses and only share the inspiring successes.

But what if the mis-steps are just as important as the times I hear Him spot on? What if inspiration can be found in my failures just as much as in the wins? We serve and follow a God of redemption who turns everything around for good, so there must be good found even when risk goes wrong.

In the spirit of transparency, vulnerability, and other equally terrifying and humbling expressions, here is one rousing testimony of what God can accomplish with our close, but not quite moments.

FOR WHEN YOU FEEL LIKE YOUR OWN LITTLE ISLAND

FOR WHEN YOU FEEL LIKE YOUR OWN LITTLE ISLAND

Are you feeling lonely or alone? Does it sometimes seem like you’re stuck doing life by yourself? Many times in my past I felt that way.  I often found myself saying, “I feel like I am an island, and no one cares.”  Can you relate?

I learned the hard way that we often struggle when we don’t know the truth of what and how God thinks. God was patient and kind towards me in those low moments. He taught me to stop resting in my feelings and to rest in His truth instead.

Understanding and speaking God’s promises over our life combats the lies the enemy tries to bog us down with. Our emotions suffer when we don’t know the specific truth to combat. So do you know what God would say to you when you are feeling isolated and alienated?

In this video:

  • Find truth to battle the lie of loneliness
  • Be encouraged in the assurance of how God sees you
  • Discover what God thinks and says about who we are in Christ
  • Learn how to take God’s promise in Ephesians 2:19 to walk out your destiny
